Second seeded Monroe City (13-7) edged top seeded and first ranked in Class 1 Canton by a 3-2 final score in the championship game of the October 2, 2021 Schuyler County Varsity Softball Tournament at Lancaster.
Fourth seeded Atlanta (16-3) edged sixth seed Knox County (7-13) by a 1-0 final score in the third place game. Monroe City topped the Lady Eagles by an 8-4 final score in the semifinal round.
Knox County scored three times in the top of the sixth inning for a 10-7 win over third seeded Scotland County in first round action. Monroe City bested Brookfield by a 7-3 margin in first round action.
Top seeded Canton drew a first round bye after Highland withdrew because of illness and injuries. Atlanta beat Schuyler County by a 4-1 final in first round action. Canton topped Atlanta by an 18-3 final score in the semifinal round.
Brookfield edged Scotland County by a 6-5 margin in consolation semifinal play. Host Schuyler County knocked off the Lady Bulldogs by a 16-1 final score to win the consolation championship.
