Highland sophomore Kaycie Stahl finished 92nd overall out of a field of 166 competitors at the November 5-6, 2021 MSHSAA Class 2 Cross Country State Championships held at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia.
Kaycie Stahl turned in a 23:00.3 second time. Riley Arnold of Blue Eye HS ran a 19:23 second 5k race, winning first place. Brookfield senior Alex Sharp placed fifth overall in 20:03.80 seconds.
Clark County senior Grace Buschling brought home ninth place in 20:24 seconds. Emmalee Williams of Monroe City was 12th in 20:30.60 seconds. Salisbury senior Kjirsten Guilford took 20th overall in 20:52.80 seconds.
Riley Bryan of Smithton HS won the Class 1 state championship in 18:27.60 seconds. Glasgow freshman Addison Barringhaus took the silver medal in 20:20.90 seconds. Marion County senior Delaney Straus placed 11th overall with a time of 21:07.80 seconds.
