Clark County’s Alexis Ellison and Knox County’s Brianna Miller scored 48 points between them as the Lady Indians hosted the Lady Eagles in Kahoka on Monday, December 6.
Clark County got off to a hot start with five Lady Indians scoring in the first quarter, led by Ellison with six. Hope Ross scored five, and Ally Fox hit a pair of buckets. Delana Hess and Emma Ross each hit from the field as the Lady Indians scored 19.
For Knox County, Miller hit a pair of threes, and Savanna Schrage nailed two at the line.
The Lady Eagle shooting was even colder in the second period, adding only four points to their total. Meanwhile, Clark County spread a 20 second quarter points over six shooters, to take a 39-12 halftime lead.
Ellison scored 11 of Clark County’s 13 third quarter points, and Miller added eight for Knox County.
Clark County managed the clock in the final quarter, scoring only five while giving up nine points, but held on to the 57-35 win.
Ellison led Clark County with 24 points. Fox scored 10. Hope Ross scored eight, and Emma Ross put in six points. Abby Plenge scored four points, and Hess added three. Olivia Miller scored two points for Clark County.
Miller led the Lady Eagles with 24 points. Jen Hinkle score six, all at the free-throw line. Abigail Becker scored three, and Schrage finished with two points.
