ANN EYLER

February 4, 1944 – January 24, 2022

Ann was born in Kirksville, Missouri, on February 4, 1944, one of four children of James William and Mary Catherine “Kack” Sandknop Ragland of Edina, Missouri. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School, and graduated from Edina High School in 1962. After high school, Ann went on to beauty college to become a hair stylist. She had her own beauty shop for several years before becoming a paralegal. Ann spent the majority of her paralegal career working for Integra and Fidelity National Title in Texas.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Lee Eyler on January 11, 1964, and they resided in Baring, Missouri. To this union two sons and two daughters were born: Tony, Chris, Bridget and Lesley.

Ann was a loving and devoted mother of four children. After the tragic death of her husband Jerry in 1980, she relocated from Baring, Missouri, to Irving, Texas, in 1985. Ann moved to Texas to start a new life for herself and her children.

Ann’s highest priority in life was making sure that her children could thrive and prosper in life. She dedicated most of her energy and her life to her children. Ann was also very proud of her grandchildren. Ann was loved by so many as she always had an open door for anyone who needed help. Many of her children’s friends referred to her as “Mom” or “Momma”. She absolutely loved her granddogs. Ann was a huge Arizona Cardinals football fan as well as a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She also loved shopping and dancing and listening to “whatever music my kids listen to”. Ann had a fierce sense of humor and an even more fierce sense of fashion and style.

Surviving are sons, Anthony Kenneth “Tony” Eyler of Euless, TX and Christopher Jerry and Dana Eyler of O’Fallon, MO, daughters, Bridget Mary Eyler and Jeffrey King of Coppell, TX and Lesley Ann Eyler Myers and Justin Myers of Coppell, TX, grandsons, Zachary Eyler and Gleen Boyett; granddaughters, Alexandra and Catherine Eyler, and Ashley Boyett Griggs. Also surviving are: Brother and sister-in-law, James H. and Rosalea Ragland of Iowa City, IA, brother-in-law, Phillip Bloom, sister-in-law, Janice Rineberg, brother-in-law, Jerry Sylvara, LaPlata, MO, as well as many nieces and a nephew.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Eyler, parents, James William Ragland and Mary Catherine (Sandknop) Ragland, grandparents, John “Dutch” and Esther Sandknop, sister, Mary Elizabeth (Ragland) Roettger, sister Esther Kaye (Ragland) Bloom, and aunt Mildred “Millie” Sandknop. A mass of Christian burial in honor of Ann will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 2:00 pm at St. Ann Catholic Parish, 180 Samuel Blvd, Coppell, Texas, 75019. Burial will immediately follow at Rolling Oaks Memorial Center, 400 Freeport Pkwy, Coppell, TX 75019.

Casket bearers will be: Zachary Eyler, Alexandra Eyler, Jeffrey King, Justin Myers, Barry Dyson, and Armando Olague. Honorary casket bears: Catherine Eyler and Ashley Boyett In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to help with medical and funeral expenses.
