DEANNA ROBERTS CRANTRELL

Deanna Lynne Roberts Cantrell, age 62, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri. She was born September 30, 1959, the daughter of Sandra Sue Minor.

Deanna is survived three daughters Amanda Cantrell of Quincy, IL, Stephanie Cantrell of Edina, MO, and Belinda (Terry) Russell of Quincy, IL, one sister Lori Guthrie, one brother, Gregory (Brenda) Roberts and their daughter, Samantha of Mascoutah, IL; and six grandchildren, Celestial, Floyd, Jaden, Baila, Lydia and Kalayla; and one great-grandchild Zayden.

Deanna was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Sue Minor, grandparents, Betty and Harold Hogan, one sister Belinda Minor and an aunt and uncle Betty and Roy Minor.

Deanna graduated from Highland High School in 1978. After high school she graduated from St. Leo’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

She served her country in the United States Army from 1978 to 1983, where she received numerous awards including sharpshooter, aircraft crewman badge, good conduct medal, army service ribbon and overseas service ribbon.

Deanna worked at Gigi Draper accounting in Edina, MO, Tri State Timber Memphis, MO, E.A. Wand of Quincy, IL, Casey’s in Edina, MO and County Market at Canton, MO. She enjoyed her dog Chase, shooting, playing pool and spending time with her friends, family and grandkids. She was a member and past president of D.A.V of Quincy, IL Chapter # 32.

Deanna will be cremated and no services will be held at this time. Burial will be held at a later date in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
