WILFRED G. “BILL” MORICE

Wilfred G. “Bill” Morice, age 79, of Fenton, Missouri, and Colony, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born September 4, 1942, in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, the son of Wilfred J. and Emma F. Morice. He was united in marriage to Ellen Sue Bertram on November 27, 1971, in the Baptist Church at Colony, Missouri.

Bill graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961 and the University of Missouri in Columbia in 1965. He was an accountant for many years at Pet Incorporated and Interco in St. Louis, MO.

In 1994 he formed CountrySide Custom Homes with his late partner Karl Groppe. He considered designing and decorating homes his dream job. He loved to build bird houses of various shapes and colors. He enjoyed spending time at the farm in Colony, seeing the animals, smelling the country air and visiting with good friends.

Surviving are his wife, Ellen Sue Morice of Fenton, MO; one brother, Roland L. (Diana) Morice; a sister-in-law, Helen Morice; nephews and nieces, Steve (Heidi) his traveling companions, Michelle (Stewart), Robin (Mike), Curtis (Susan), Pam (Gary), Rhonda (Randy), Lionel (Ruth), David (JoLynn), Andre (Carman), Bart, Kevin (Fran), John (Susan), Tracy, Paul (Connie), Bill (Theresa) Anissa, Renee (Chris), Paula, Laura, Sandy; and great nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law ,Mary Ellen and Gilvie Bertram; and five brothers, Lionel E. (Dorothy) Morice, Norman W. (Shirley) Morice, Donald L. Morice, Larry W. Morice, Paul (Hazel) Morice; and one, sister Joyce C. (Robert) Sirkorski; and a nephew, Michael.

Funeral services and visitation will be held in St. Louis, MO on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Kutis Affton Chapel. Visitation 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and services at 7 p.m.

Local visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Hudson- Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30th in the Colony Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Steve Morice, Gary Gooch, Leon Shaw, Chad York, Ethan Hustead and Travis Hustead. Honorary bearer will be Elza Hustead.
