Cletus first and foremost loved his family and enjoyed any time he could have with them all. Cletus was a dedicated, hardworking man who worked 44 years in his career with Quincy Soybean. He was an avid collector of just about anything, but he especially loved to collect tools and would allow anyone to borrow any tool he had when needed. He loved being around horses and dogs and spent many happy days with his favorite Palomino horse, “Silvy”. He was a very particular person that loved detail and that showed in his many hobbies of leatherwork, wood working, stained glass, and macramé. Cletus was an avid fan of ice cream and loved to have his ice cream in a bowl covered in Pepsi Cola.
Cletus was a proud member of the United States Army during the Korean War, serving in the infamous 3rd Armored Division known as Hell on Wheels. His service time included hitches at both Fort Knox and Fort Hood.
Cletus was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church.
