Brashear (13-7, 8-1) scored three times in the first inning then had a five run fourth frame for a 10-0 win over Green City in October 6, 2022 Tri-County Conference softball play at Brashear.
Green City dropped to 10-8 on the season, 5-4 in the conference. The Lady Gophers were tied for the tenth ranking in Class 1 by the Missouri High School Fast Pitch Coaches Association.
Alexa Borgmeyer struck out 12 batters in five innings pitched on one hit and one walk. Paige Pialet walked in the Lady Gopher first inning. Alexa Borgmeyer fanned the next two batters for a scoreless top of the first.
Aubrey Borgmeyer doubled leading off the Tiger first. Cassidy Althide followed with a base hit. Lacey Fisher reached on an error. All three runners scored for a 3-0 lead after the opening inning.
Paige Pialet struck out the side in the second inning. Claire Gordon reached on an error leading off the Green City second inning but was stranded.
Lacey Fisher singled with one out, then moved to third base. Two fly balls ended the Brashear third with no scoring.
Jaryn Hatcher singled with one out in the Green City fourth inning. Green City had three base runners in the contest. Heidi Lay led off the Brashear fourth inning with a single. Paige Stutsman reached on an error. Both runners scored.
Paige Pialet fanned two batters. Alexa Borgmeyer received an intentional walk. Cassidy Althide came through with a hit. Lacey Fisher doubled in two Brashear runs. Haley McNamar reached on an error.
Alexa Borgmeyer doubled. The Lady Gophers threw a runner out at home plate for the final out of the fourth inning. Paige Stutsman recorded a one out fifth inning hit. Maddie Moots tripled Stutsman home for a 9-0 lead.
Aubrey Borgmeyer reached base on a one out error. Maddie Moots scored the winning run for a 10-0 victory in five innings.
Green City was blanked on one hit. Paige Pialet struck out nine batters in 4 1/3 innings pitched. Pialet allowed ten runs on nine hits.
Brashear scored ten runs on nine hits. Cassidy Althide and Lacey Fisher were 2-3 at bat with two runs scored each.
