David James Morgret, 62, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, September 30, 2022, at his home.

Born August 2, 1960, in Edina, Missouri, David was the son of James Orville and Carolyn Elizabeth (McMasters) Morgret. On June 20, 1987, in Edina, Missouri, David was united in marriage to Gaylene Foreman.

David is survived by his wife Gaylene of the home; his mother Carolyn Morgret of Edina, MO; his mother-in-law, Marjorie Foreman of Kirksville, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Paula Morgret of Columbia, MO; brother-in-law, Jerry Foreman of Novelty, MO; aunt, Marilyn Walker of Fort Meyers, FL; his uncle, John McMasters of London, England, as well as a niece, Kelsey and a nephew, Caelan; cousins, and a host of friends including Pat Kriegshauser of Kirksville, MO.

David was preceded in death by his father, James Morgret in 1991; and his father-in-law, Harold Foreman in 2021.

David was a graduate of Knox County High School with the Class of 1978 and graduated from Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, Wyoming in 1981. He worked at Gragg Plumbing & Heating in Edina a number of years, and since he has owned and operated Morgret Trucking, Inc. for twenty years. David was a hard worker all of his life and was always willing to help others.

David’s last act of helping others was through organ donation.

It was David’s wish to be cremated and no service be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Linville Cemetery in Edina, Missouri, or the donor’s choice, and may be left at or mailed to Travis- Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
