Brashear started off the New Year on the right foot, winning their January 3, 2023 varsity girls’ contest at Marion County by a 38-29 margin. Brashear got off to a one point lead and built the advantage to 19-11 at the half.
The Mustangs pulled back within a 23-20 third quarter score. Brashear closed on a 15-9 run for the win.
Riley Holt scored a game high 13 Mustang points. Lacey Fisher led Brashear with 11 points. Cassidy Althide and Aubrey Borgmeyer put in six points each. Tayla Garlock scored eight Tiger points. Paige Stutsman scored five and Maddie Moots added two Brashear points.
