The North Missouri Knights girls’ team extracted a measure of revenge for a loss at Brashear, taking a 50-36 win in the 63rd Annual Milan Tournament girls seventh place game. Brooke Bond fired in a game high 20 points. Elie Reinsch was in double figures with 16 points.
Brashear (4-10) turnovers led to a 19-5 Knight lead after the first quarter. The tigers scored the first four points of the second quarter. Tayla Garlock scored with 14 seconds to play in the first half for a 28-16 halftime deficit.
Lacey Fisher completed a three point play for a 43-26 deficit with 2:03 to play in the third quarter. The Knights led 44-26 after three periods.
Lacey Fisher led Brashear with 13 points. Paige Stutsman scored nine points. Heidi Lay put in six points. Tayla Garlock scored four points. Cassidy Althide and Aubrey Borgmeyer added two points each.
The Tigers host Bucklin/Macon County on Tuesday, January 17 then travel to Bevier for a January 19 conference twin bill.
