Putnam County took advantage of Brashear turnovers, reeling off a 29-5 third quarter run for an 81-37 win over Brashear in January 14, 2023 Milan Tournament third place boys play. Owen Ream fired in a game high 25 points before leaving the game due to a third quarter injury.
Owen Ream and Brashear junior Carson Erwin made the All-Tournament team. Brashear slipped to 6-8 on the season. Putnam County held a 21-13 field goal advantage. The Tigers were 5-17 from the free throw line. The Midgets (10-5) sank 9-14 from the stripe.
Putnam County held a 10-2 advantage in made three pointers. Brayden McReynolds was in double figures for Putnam County with 11 points. Mason Morris tossed in nine Midget points.
Jack Reeves led Brashear with 15 points. Carson Erwin scored eight points. Lucas Keller scored six points. Deyton White scored four points. Landon Fisher and Cole Erwin added two points each.
