Brashear (13-12) defended well during their February 14, 2023 non-conference boys’ battle with Lewis and Clark member Paris (13-13) at Brashear. The Tigers turned a two point first quarter edge to a 32-25 halftime lead.
After an even third period, Brashear cracked off a 20 point run for a 15 point fourth quarter lead. Paris came back after substitutions, firing in five of their nine three pointers during the fourth quarter. Jack Reeves completed a three point play in the final 30 seconds. Sealing a 66-61 Tiger win.
Brashear has won four of their last five boy’s games. The Tigers took the ball to the rack, converting 25 field goals to 11 for Paris. Paris hit all nine three balls on the night. Paris was 12-16 from the free throw line.
Brashear sank 16-29 from the charity stripe. Carson Erwin led three Tigers in double figures with a game high 18 points. Avery Zentz and Cole Erwin put in 12 Brashear points each.
Lucas Keller scored eight points. Alex Houghton put in six. Jack Reeves tallied five points. Clancy Noe and Landon Fisher put in two points each. Deyton White added one point to the winning total.
Ten Paris players and nine Tigers scored. Mason Edwards led Paris with 13 points. Colton Poddany hit double digits with 11 points. Brad Skinner scored eight Coyote points.
