Paris (8-18) took an early lead in their February 14, 2023 non-conference girls’ game at Brashear and held off the Lady Tigers by a 37-28 final score. Reese Sutton led all scorers with 16 Coyote points. Alyssa Webb put in eight Pairs points.
Paris took 10-8 first quarter lead. The Lady Coyotes outscored Brashear (9-16) 13-9 in the second period for a 23-17 halftime lead. Paris scored nine points to three for Brashear during the low scoring third quarter for a 32-20 tally heading into the fourth period.
Paris had a 12-10 edge in made field goals. The Lady Coyotes tossed in three home run balls to one Tiger three. Paris was 4-7 at the free throw line. Brashear made 5-7 from the line.
Lacey Fisher led Brashear with 11 points. Aubrey Borgmeyer put in eight points. Paige Stutsman tallied three points. Cassidy Althide, Maddie Moots and Heidi Lay added two Brashear points each.
Brashear (13-12) won the boys game by a 66-61 final score. Paris saw their season record even at 13-13. The Tiger boys have won four of their most recent five games.
