Novinger sprang to a 17-8 lead in February 17, 2023 conference play with Brashear. The Tigers rallied, outscoring the Wildcats in each of the final three quarters for a 58-48 win. The victory extended the Tiger win string to five out of their last six games.
Brashear outscored Novinger 20-11 in the second quarter, tying the score at 28 all at halftime. Brashear scored 30 points to 20 for the host Wildcats in the second half. Brashear closed on a 15-6 run for the 58-48 win.
Novinger held a slim 17-16 field goal edge. The teams sank four three balls each. Brashear sank 14 out of 21 free throw attempt. Novinger converted two of ten free throw tries.
Carson Erwin led Brashear with a game high 32 points. Jack Reeves and Cole Erwin fired in seven each. Lucas Keller and Alex Houghton scored four points each.
Wes Findling led Novinger with 16 points. Gage Brownell was in double figures with 11 points. Jace Brownell added six points.
