Maddie Moots struck out nine Lady Mustangs in four innings pitched during September 1, 2023 Tri-County Conference softball play at Linn County. Moots and Cassidy Althide pitched a combined no hitter for Brashear on the way to an 11-0 win in five innings.
The Lady Tigers blew open a two run game with a nine run fifth inning. Mikaela Rojas was charged with 11 runs, seven earned. Rojas struck, out four with two walks on six hits.
Tayla Garlock was 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI in a balanced Brashear offense.
Cole Erwin drove in four Tiger runs in an 18-12 slugfest Brashear win during the baseball game. A total of 13 errors were assessed. Brashear had seven and Linn County six errors.
Brashear scored 18 runs on five hits. Jack Reeves had two RBI’s. Cole Erwin had two hits. Drew Magruder, John Higgins and Jack Reeves pitched for Brashear. The Tiger hurlers struck out four batters each.
John Higgins allowed three runs on one hit in 2 1/3 innings pitched. Jack Reeves tossed two innings. Reeves was assessed the only Mustang earned run of the night. Drew Magruder pitched an inning and 2/3.
Myles Johnson was 2-5 with a Linn County RBI. Kaden Fainter scored two runs and drove in two for the Mustangs. Five pitchers worked for the Mustangs with a total of ten strikeouts and 18 walks in six innings pitched.
