Brashear took both ends of their December 5, 2023 conference basketball twin bill at Linn County. The Tiger boys roped the Mustangs (0-4) winning by a 65-25 margin. The Lady Tigers corralled Linn County by a 63-18 margin.
The Lady Tigers did not fare so well at Meadville. The undefeated, defending class 1 state champion Lady Eagles blasted Brashear (4-2) by an 87-26 final. The Eagle boys won their part of the December 8, 2023 conference set by a 65-53 tally.
Brashear has two more tough tests coming this week. The Tigers host La Plata on December 12, 2023 in a varsity double header. The Bulldog boys are 2-3 heading in and the Lady Bulldogs are 4-1. The lone La Plata girls loss is to Green City in the championship game of the Novinger Tournament.
Brashear travels to Atlanta on Friday, December 15. The Lady Hornets are currently 2-3 and the Atlanta boys are 4-2.
