STANLEY LEE PURDIN
Stanley Lee Purdin, age 85, of Hurdland, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Edina, Missouri.
Born April 30, 1938, in Memphis, Missouri, Stanley was the son of Stanley Lloyd and Faye Batterson Purdin.
He was united in marriage to Carol Barnes on November 1, 1958, in Edina, MO and she preceded him in death on June 23, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Surviving are two daughters, Opal Mae (Ron) McCaffetry of Quincy, IL, and Annette Faye (Bill) Whiles of Edina, MO; three grandchildren, Ashley (Danny) Scankiewicz, Katie Jones, Clayton Whiles; and several brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Stanley graduated from Hurdland High School. Stanley was engaged in farming most of his life in the Hurdland community. He enjoyed coaching softball, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and raising Black Angus Cattle.
Stanley will be cremated and no services will be held at this time. Burial will be held at a later date in the Hurdland I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
