 MARGARET ANN DELANEY 

Margaret Ann Delaney, age 84, of Edina, died December 18, 2023, at The Pines in Kirksville. Margaret was born on March 9, 1939, in rural Knox City (Bee Ridge), Missouri, to Ralph and Nancy (Ahern) Klocke. She married William Thomas “Bill” Delaney on May 31, 1957, and he survives her. 

Margaret was a homemaker and member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina and was very active following her sons and grandchildren’s sports and activities. 

She is survived by her husband, Bill Delaney of the home in Edina; five sons and their wives; Barry Delaney and Connie of Jefferson City, David Delaney and Kristi of Marceline, Bob Delaney and Marie of Kirksville, Rick Delaney and Lesa of Edina, and Michael Delaney and Ashley of Parkville; eleven grandchildren, Lauren Delaney and Owen McQuiston of St. Louis, MO, Matthew Delaney and wife Lisa of St. Charles, MO, Eric Delaney and wife Crystal of Edmond, OK, Jason Delaney and wife Lu of Chillicothe, MO, Kiley Herriman and Christian Hayes of Marceline, MO, Patrick Delaney and wife Miranda of Brownsburg, IN, Ashley Lamp and husband Jacob of Kansas City, MO, Brad Hunt of Lancaster, MO, Chrissy Hudson of Newark, MO, Andrew Hays, and Maggie Delaney, both of Parkville, MO; thirteen great grandchildren, Austin and Luke Delaney, Karyn and Jillian Delaney, Deakan and Kenna Delaney, Pyper and Octavia Hayes, Brock and Roman Delaney, Griffin Lamp, and Lorelei and Isobele Hudson; sister-in-law Carol Fox and husband Mike of Edina; niece DeeNita Whiteley of St. Louis, MO; and two nephews Brian Fox and wife Stephanie of Springfield, MO and Mark Fox and wife Emily of Springfield, IL. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Marion Klocke, and two sisters-in-law, Mary and Francie Delaney. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Friday, December 22, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Edina. 

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Doss Funeral Home in Edina. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline.
