LEO HOLMES RIDGE
Leo Holmes Ridge, 70, passed away in the presence of his loving family, June 29, 2024, in his home in Memphis, Missouri.
He was born the second of two children on January 25, 1954, in Garden City, Michigan, to Shirley Martin and Delaine Ridge.
He attended Knox County High School and then served in the United States Army as a Ranger. He then attended several colleges where he received diplomas in: Computer Aided Designs, Machine Shop Technology and Design Drafting Technology. He worked at Electro- Mechanical Design and Drafting for 25 years, Rowe Machinery and Automation for 6 years and Trinity Industries for 8 years.
He had many interests such as graphic arts, the dynamics and history of planes, trains, and automobiles, and furthering his education. If not educating himself, he would make sure you were educated. He was a man of many words and if you asked, he would tell you.
Survivors include one sister, Marritta (Clark) Gould; two daughters, Jamie Corey, Crystal (John) Gaus; several grandchildren, MaKayla Corey, Katherine Corey (Tyler), Abbigail Corey, Andrew Corey, LaChrisha (Justin) Florea, Peyton Holder (Shon), Erica (Tanner) Harrison, Dayla Gaus and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and two grandchildren.
His purpose was discovered and was successful here on earth. His family were always a part of that purpose. Now we get to carry it to find our purpose. As we look for him through memories in anything and everywhere we go; he will always be with us.
According to his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no services scheduled.
