 CLAYTON GARTH KLINE 

Clayton Garth Kline, 68, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, surrounded by family. 

He was born on November 12, 1956, in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Kenneth Charles and Carol June Dye Kline. 

He attended Baring Elementary and graduated from the Knox County High School in the Class of 1974. He continued his education at Frontier Bible College in Wyoming. 

On May 21, 1984, at the Baring Community Church in Baring, Missouri, Clayton married Jacquelyn “Jacki” Ann Bode and to this union four children were born. 

Clayton was a cattle farmer his entire life and for a time worked for Schmitz Spraying Service near Memphis, Missouri. He hauled lime and fertilizer until the truck fell through a bridge, then switched to hauling rock with his own company truck “Old Gale” and later with a newer truck “Clayton Kline Rock Hauling” until his health failed and forced his retirement. 

He attended the Rehoboth Baptist Church in Kirksville, Missouri. He enjoyed elk hunting, deer hunting, was a member of Missouri Big Bucks Club, visiting national parks, muscle cars and motorcycles; but his main focus was on his cows, his farm, and visiting friends at IDK. 

Clayton is survived by his children, Rachel and Ridge McCarty of Kirksville, Missouri, Elijah Kline of Kansas City, Missouri, Joshua Kline of Linn, Missouri, and Anna Kline of Bethel, Missouri; his mother, June Kline of Edina, Missouri; a brother, Clinton and Cheryl Kline of St. Louis, Missouri; a sister, Kathy and Rick Pinson of Edina, Missouri; a granddaughter, Mary McCarty; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenny Kline on June 26, 2013. 

The family received friends prior to Funeral Services on Saturday morning, December 7, 2024, at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. 

Interment was in the Millport Cemetery, south of Rutledge, Missouri.
