MSHP Crash Report
EDINA, Mo. — A 63-year-old Edina man suffered minor injuries Monday afternoon when his tractor-trailer ran off the road and struck a guardrail in Knox County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers reported the crash happened around 4:15 p.m. on Missouri Route 15, about a half-mile north of Edina.
A 2011 Volvo tractor-trailer driven by the man was headed north when it traveled off the right side of the road, then overcorrected and went off the left side, striking a guardrail before coming to rest in a creek, the patrol said.
The driver, whose name was not released, was wearing a seat belt. He was taken by Knox County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
The highway patrol was assisted at the crash site by Master Sgt. Siegfried, the Edina Police Department, and Knox County Fire and Rescue.
