EDINA, Mo. — Local families are invited to participate in this year’s Knox County Chamber of Commerce Safe Stop Trunk or Treat on Halloween night, offering a fun and secure way for children to trick-or-treat.
The annual event will take place Friday, Oct. 31, from 4 to 6 p.m. on North Main Street on the west side of the Edina Town Square. It is designed to provide a safe environment for trick-or-treating. Community organizations, local businesses and volunteers will host stations where children can collect candy.
A costume contest will also be held, with prizes awarded to the top three winners. To participate in the contest, attendees should visit the photo booth.
Those planning to hand out treats are encouraged to bring enough for at least 350 trick-or-treaters. Setup will begin at 3 p.m. on Halloween. Community members, businesses and organizations do not need to be chamber members to participate.
The annual Safe Stop initiative aims to create a safe and inclusive environment where families can enjoy Halloween festivities without safety concerns.
