Scotland Co. Takes Conference Baseball Game at Knox Co.

Knox County scored the first run in the opening inning of April 22, 2026 Lewis and Clark baseball play with Scotland County. Creighton Karhoff singled and scored a first inning run.
Carter Clatt drove in two Tiger runs in the Scotland County second inning. Brody Wheeler plated another run for a two run lead after two innings. Scotland County opened up the score with a four run sixth and a two score seventh for a 10-2 Tiger win.
Carter Clatt went 4-5 with two runs scored and three batted in for the visiting Tigers. Nathan Penn drove home Creighton Karhoff for the second KCHS run. Wind and swirling dust hampered both teams in the field.
Emit Long led off the SC fourth inning with a hit. Carter Clatt cashed in the opportunity with a one out RBI hit and a 4-2 lead after four full innings. Scotland County batted around during their sixth inning. Brant Heine had a two RBI hit. Tayte Richmond and Urijah Richmond tag teamed run producing at bats for an 8-2 lead entering the seventh inning.
Cooper Small singled and scored on Tayte Richmond’s Sac Fly. Kwayde Hamilton plated the tenth and final run of the day. Creighton Karhoff reached base for the third time but did not score.
Scotland County scored ten runs on nine hits. Each team had three errors. Tayte Richmond, Urijah Richmond and Brant Heine had two Tiger RBI each. Tayte Richmond pitched six innings with seven strikeouts and one walk on four hits. Both Eagle runs were charged to Richmond.
Carter Clatt pitched the final clean inning for Scotland County. Knox County scored two runs on four hits. Creighton Karhoff led the Eagle offense with a 3-4 day including two runs scored.
Nathan Penn pitched the first six and a third innings with three strikeouts, three walks and ten hits. Penn allowed nine of the Tiger tallies.
Logan Wriedt pitched 2/3 of an inning. Wriedt allowed one run on two hits and a walk.
