 LARRY DUANE MCCRACKEN 

Larry Duane McCracken, 84, of Ewing, Missouri, died December 23, 2023, at his home. 

Born January 5, 1939, he was the son of Port Haycraft McCracken and Eula Myrtle (Staggs), McCracken. He was married to Dianna (White) McCracken on October 27, 2004. 

Larry attended school in La Belle, Missouri. He later worked road construction for Cameron-Joyce Construction Company until he started logging. He was employed by Swords-Veneer and Lumber Company for 38 years and retired in 2006. He traveled to many states to purchase logs for his company. Larry enjoyed buying and selling tractors, farming, cutting, and raking hay and raising Longhorn cattle. He also did a lot of hunting for coyotes and raccoons with his dogs. He loved going to auctions and eating out. Later in life he enjoyed smoking his pipe. 

In addition to his wife, survivors include son, Kevin D. McCracken (Patty) of Ewing, Missouri; two stepsons, Mark Rees and Jamie Rees; grandchildren, Jesse H. McCracken (Lauren) of Lakewood, Colorado, and Josie L. McCracken (Conner) of Ewing, Missouri; and great grandchildren, Nora and Vincent McCracken and Lainey Steed. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother Samuel McCracken and sister Maxine McCracken- Owen; and step-son Randy Rees. 

Graveside services were held at Steffenville, Missouri on January 6, 2024, followed by a luncheon at the Steffenville Fire
