Brashear Makes Early Scores Stand Up for Win Over Princeton

Princeton (2-3) put three runs on the board during the first inning of their April 8, 2025 varsity baseball game at Brashear. The Tigers scored a first inning tally and added seven more in their second inning for a hard fought 8-7 win over the visiting Tigers.
Cooper Boxley doubled ion two Princeton runs in the first inning. Judd Henke reached on an error. Boxley scored on the play for a 3-0 Princeton lead after an half inning of play.
Defensive mistakes helped Brashear (4-1) put a first inning run on the board. Cole Erwin cleared the bases with a hit during a seven run second inning. Cade Erwin plated another run with a hit.
Cory Holcomb and Riley Whitlow put the ball in play, resulting in three more Wild Tiger runs. Brashear led 8-3 after two full innings.
Princeton scored two runs in the fourth and sixth innings. Koenn Stewart pitched two and 2/3 innings for Brashear. Stewart struck out two with three walks on three hits. Three unearned runs were charged to the Wild Tiger starter. Cade Erwin pitched two and a third innings, striking out four men with no walks on no hits
John Higgins III pitched two innings with three strikeouts .and one hit allowed. Brashear scored eight runs on four hits. The teams were charged with seven errors each.
Princeton scored seven runs on four hits. Cooper Bosley drove in two Tiger runs. Boxley was the first of four pitchers to toe the Tiger rubber. Princeton hurlers struck out seven batters total on four hits. None of the eight Brashear-Novinger runs were earned.
