Paris Breaks Open LCC Game With Eagles

Luke Ensor went 2-5 with three RBI and two runs scored leading Paris (7-9) to an 11-3, win over Knox County in April 29, 2026 Lewis and Clark baseball play at Paris. The Coyotes sent 13 batters to the plate during a decisive seven score sixth inning rally.

Paris starter Elijah Reynolds set the first six Knox County batters down in order during the first two innings. The Coyotes put their first five batters on base in their first inning.

Luke Ensor pushed the game’s first score across with an RBI single. Chase Kendrick and Chase Graupman helped score two more runs with Coyote singles for a 3-0 first inning lead. Chase Kendrick singled and scored on an infield bobble resulting in a four run advantage after three complete innings.

Knox County filled the bases in the top half of inning three without benefit of a hit but failed to score. Nate Penn pitched the first inning for Knox County. Penn was charged with three earned runs on five hits.

Jace Frost tossed the remaining six innings, striking out three with three walks on 13 hits. Seven of eight total runs charged to Frost were earned. Jace Frost struck out three Paris batters.

Carrsen Hayes led off the Eagle fifth frame with a hit. Jace Frost and Blake Shahan reached base and scored. Kyle Hinton drove in a run with a hit, making the score 4-3 in favor of Paris after five innings.

Knox County turned in several nice fielding plays. Logan Wriedt picked a fly ball off the fence for the second out of inning four. Marcos Cazares dug an errant throw out of the dirt to end the Coyote third inning.

The Eagles retired a at third base during fourth inning action. Carrsen Hayes caught a pop up pinned to the fence behind home plate for the second out of inning three.

Paris put their leadoff batter on base after a hit batsman in the sixth inning. Creighton Karhoff caught a fly ball for out number one.

Luke Ensor delivered a key two run double with one out after Michael Rosson reached base on an infield misplay. Kaden Graupman singled in another Paris run. The Coyotes wound putting seven runs on the board for an 11-3 lead heading to the seventh inning.

Michael Bosson hit a batter during the KCHS seventh inning in another wise clean inning for the 11-3 Paris win. The Coyotes scored 11 runs on 18 hits. Chase Kendrick was 3-4 at bat for Paris with a run scored and another batted in. Cjhase Graupman was 3-3 at bat with a run scored and another driven in.

Knox County (1- 10) scored three runs on four hits. Three different Eagles drove in a run each.

Knox County has three games scheduled this week. The first contest has the Eagles hosting Brashear/ Novinger (8-3) on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 weather permitting.

The Eagles have non-conference games slated at Clark County (9-6) on Wednesday, May 6 and a home game on Thursday May 7 against Atlanta (17- 2). The Atlanta game is Knox County baseball Senior Night.

Knox County’s final regular season game is set for Tuesday, May 12, 2026 hosting La Plata at 5PM.
