The Homestanding Lady Eagles scored 29 field goals while holding their opponent to six field goals defensively. Edina Notifies Knox County It Will Leave 911 Agreement in 2026

By Echo Menges EDINA, Mo. — The city of Edina has officially notified Knox County that it intends to withdraw from the joint 911 cost-share agreement in January, citing financial shortfalls. The city submitted its letter of notification dated Dec. 9. The agreement, formed in 2013, split the cost of enhanced 911 dispatch services among Knox County, the Knox County Ambulance District and the city of Edina. Each party has paid one-third of the total cost annually. This year, Edina’s share amounted to $31,629. Knox County Chamber of Commerce Draws Chamber Bucks Winners

Shannon Carlyle and Jared Niemeyer drew six names for the Chamber Bucks raffle on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025 at Jared’s Jams in Edina. Knox County Nutrition Site Draws Winners for Gift Card Fundraisers

The Knox County Nutrition Site held two raffle fund raisers in December selling tickets for $10 each for a chance to win a $300 or $500 gift card. Pat Miller is the winner of the $300 gift card to C&R Market in Edina. The drawing was held on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Brett Bowen was the winner of the $500 C&R Market in Edina gift card. Wreaths Across America Efforts Honor Veterans in Knox County

KNOX COUNTY, Mo. — Community members gathered Saturday at Novelty Christian Church to honor the service and sacrifice of local veterans as part of the nationwide Wreaths Across America campaign. The annual remembrance ceremony was held in conjunction with National Wreaths Across America Day on Dec. 13. On the eve of the event, the Knox County Commission signed an official proclamation designating Dec. 13 as Wreaths Across America Day locally. The trio helped lay wreaths at the Knox County All Veterans Memorial outside of the courthouse, and Cardwell helped lay wreaths at the Novelty Cemetery following the ceremony on Saturday.…

Scotland County Holds Off Highland Cougars

By David Sharp Scotland County (7-1) was able to get to the free throw line 29 times, sinking 16 charity tosses during a 62-58 win over Highland (0-5) during December 15, 2025 non conference boys basketball play at Scotland County. The Cougars made one more field goal and one more three ball on the night. Highland was able to cash in seven of 14 from the free throw line.
