Area Church Burglaries Solved

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Edina Police Department will be filing charges against Christopher James Scott, 20, of Bloomfield, IA and David Patrick Scott Jr., 24, of Lancaster, MO.
The brothers were arrested and are being held in Davis County, IA at the Davis County jail for burglary and stealing charges.
Search warrants were executed in both Davis County, IA and Schuyler County, MO where all the items reported stolen during the string of church burglaries in Knox County this summer were recovered except for cash.
The two brothers are suspected to be responsible for over 24 church break-ins in six counties in Iowa and Missouri.
Agencies who participated in the investigation leading to the arrest of the Scott brothers include: Davis County Sheriff’s Office, Edina Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Bloomfield Police Department, Ottumwa Police Department, Wapello County Sheriff’s Office, Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, Scotland County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Lancaster Police Department, Kirksville Police Department, and the Memphis Police Department.
