LaBelle Mother and Daughter Injured In Accident
The Missouri State Highway Patrol released a report on Thursday, April 13, 2017, regarding injuries received by a mother and daughter in LaBelle at 3:05 p.m.
Twenty-six year old Paige Kerr was driving a 1987 Club Car golf cart southbound at 4th and Congress Streets in LaBelle, when her two year old daughter fell from the vehicle. The mother jumped from the golf cart in attempt to catch the little girl. The two year old received minor injuries while the mother’s injuries were moderate. Both were taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois for treatment.
The golf cart came to rest in a nearby yard and are exempt from having safety devices. The cart was driven from the scene by a family member.
The MSHP was assisted at the scene by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Lewis County Ambulance and the LaBelle Fire Department.
