Brashear Wins Final Regular Season Softball Game At Marion County

Brashear finished their varsity softball regular season slate with a solid performance against a competitive Marion County Lady Mustang team at Philadelphia. The Lady Tigers (8-10) pounded out 14 hits. Kynleigh White, and Haley McNamar had three Tiger hits each.
Sierra Snyder doubled Lacey Fisher and Haley McNamar home for a 2-0 first inning lead. Delaney Straus tripled with one out in the Lady Mustang first inning. Alexa Borgmeyer struck out the side, stranding Straus on third base.
Aubrey Borgmeyer singled, then scored on a Halle McNamar single for a 3-0 third inning lead. Aubrey Borgmeyer led off the Tiger fifth inning with a double. McNamar smacked a two out double for a 4-0 Brashear advantage after five
full innings.
Kynleigh White doubled with one out in the Tiger sixth inning. Cassidy Althide reached on an error. White scored on the play. Paige Stutsman doubled Althide home for a six run lead.
Karissa Kennedy tripled with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. Kennedy scored on a dropped third strike for a 6-1 Brashear lead at the close of the sixth inning. Lacey Fisher singled leading off the top of the seventh inning. Mackenzie Bake and Kynleigh White also singled, filling the bases with two out.
Paige Stutsman worked Marion County hurler Haley Kielholz for an RBI walk. Brashear led 8-1 entering the final half inning. Riley Donath walked leading off the Mustang seventh inning.
Alexa Borgmeyer struck out the final three batters, ending the game with Brashear on top of the 8-1 final score.
Marion County scored one run on three hits. Delaney Straus went 2-3 at the plate for the 8-8 Lady Mustangs. Halle Kielholz struck out ten batters with three walks on 14 hits in seven innings pitched. Seven of the eight Brashear runs were earned.
Brashear scored eight runs on 14 hits. Aubrey Borgmeyer was 2-2 with a Tiger run scored. Lacey Fisher went 2-4 with two runs scored. Halle McNamar was 3-4 with a run scored and two batted in.
Kynleigh White was 3-4 with a run scored. Alexa Borgmeyer was the winning pitcher. Alexa Borgmeyer struck out 13 batters walking one on three hits. The Mustang run was unearned.
