Highland (11-9) sprang to a 12-6 first quarter lead in conference girls play at Monroe City and went on to a 44-30 win. The Lady Cougars led 25-14 at halftime.
Ansley Bringer led all scorers with 19 Highland points. Mari Gares led the Lady Panthers (5-13) with 16 points.
Summer Goings scored eight Lady Cougar points. Ali Reed put in seven points. Dallas Dare and Morgan Keith put in four points each. Carly Murphy added two Highland points.
Top ranked Monroe City won the boy’s game by a final score of 65-46.
Highland’s girls defeated Brookfield by a 39-19 final score in January 28, 2022 Clarence Cannon Conference play at Highland. Ansley Bringer scored 16 points. Ali Reed was in double figures for Highland with 15 points.
The Highland vs. Brookfield boy’s ended with Highland on top, 72-47.
