Ag centers to host producers, share innovations and practices.
Agricultural producers are invited to save the dates for these regional events in which extension specialists and researchers from the University of Missouri share their findings.

From August through October, events are planned across the state at Extension and Education Centers, administered by MU Extension, and at Research, Extension and Education Centers that comprise the Missouri Agricultural Experiment Station, administered by the MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR).
Extension and Education Center field days
Tuesday, Aug. 26. Graves-Chapple Field Day near Rock Port. A variety of experts from MU will demonstrate new technologies and address the most pressing questions farmers are facing.
Wednesday, Sept. 3. Hundley-Whaley Farm, Field and Family Day, 4-8 p.m. at Hundley-Whaley Center, Albany. Producers and their families and friends are invited. MU Extension specialists will provide the latest information on agronomy, livestock, nutrition and health.
Wednesday, Oct. 1. Wurdack Producer Field Days at Wurdack Center, Cook Station. Presentations will cover a range of topics centered on winter feeding strategies.
Research, Extension and Education Center field days
Thursday, July 31. Northern Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center Field Day and Conservation Showcase, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Lee Greenley Jr. Memorial Farm near Novelty. Complimentary breakfast will be served 7-8 a.m., followed by interactive farm tours with faculty and graduate students. Topics include crops, pest management and livestock. Lunch will be provided. The Conservation Showcase starts 1 p.m. at Grace Greenley Farm.
Thursday, Aug. 6. MU Ag Research Expo, 8 a.m.-noon at Fisher Delta Center in Portageville. Attendees can take part in interactive, hands-on discussions with research faculty, graduate students, staff and industry partners; take a self-guided tour of research fields; and visit industry partner booths. Grab-and-go lunch will be provided.
Thursday, Sept. 18. The Southwest Research, Extension and Education Center near Mount Vernon will host a Public Field Day and Career Exploration Day 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Producers and area high school students can tour the research farm and visit with CAFNR faculty, MU Extension specialists and industry experts about advances in agricultural research and the variety of agricultural career paths available.
Saturday, Sept. 20. CAFNR Showcase at South Farm in Columbia. Formerly known as South Farm Showcase, this event features activities for the entire family.
MU Extension can help farmers take part in the goal of doubling the economic impact of agriculture by 2030 while sustaining natural resources. CAFNR research covers almost 14,000 acres across Missouri to help meet the needs of farmers and producers in each region of the state.
