NEMO Regional Planning Commission Press Release The Northeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission has awarded Knox County a 2025 Impact Award in recognition of its successful RebelRun Bridge replacement project, a critical infrastructure investment that restored safe and reliable transportation access for the community. Through $2,209,600 in MoDOT off -system bridge funding, the Knox County Commission replaced the former Rebel Run low-water crossing witha new 24-foot, 6-inch wide by 250-foot-long, three-span concrete NU-girder bridge, featuring a concrete deck and bolt-on steel rail. By David Sharp Knox County looked sharp during their January 2, 2026 People’s Bank and Trust Holiday Shootout girls’ game at Louisiana. The Lady Eagles rebounded well and caused Bowling Green (2-8) turnovers during a 49-21 varsity girls win. The Lady Eagles improved to 4-6 on the season. Knox County jumped out to an early 8-2 lead. Lawrence “Larry” Paul White, 79, of Liberty, Missouri, formerly of Kirksville, passed away on December 31, 2025. Larry was born October 21, 1946, in Edina, Missouri, the son of Patrick Joseph and Anna Marie White. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Knox County High School in 1964. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served during the Vietnam War as part of the Mobile Riverine Force.
