The position also brings the relocation of the child support enforcement office from Adair County to Knox County. Aponte has joined Knox County Prosecuting Attorney Andrew Boster and Administrative Assistant Angela Wilson. By Echo Menges KNOX COUNTY, Mo. — A vacant home on State Highway EE was destroyed by fire Tuesday evening, April 14, after multiple volunteer fire departments responded to the scene. The call was dispatched at 6:49 p.m. to the residence at 50654 State Highway EE. Firefighters from the Baring, Rutledge and Edina volunteer fire departments responded. Upon arrival, crews found the structure heavily involved in fire. After assessing the situation alongside the property owner, it was determined the home was too far gone to be saved. Voters rejected Knox County Question 1, which asked whether to exempt eligible taxpayers from certain increases in property taxes on their primary residence above a set base year.
